The field of neurology deals with diseases of the nervous system. Thanks to innovative developments in diagnosis and therapy, neurology has increasingly become a mainstay of active therapeutic patient care – and the potential for innovation is far from exhausted.
Our research activities in the field of neurology focus on two chronic neurological diseases, Alzheimer’s dementia and epilepsy. Eisai active ingredients are already available in both indication areas.
We use our many years of expertise to develop even more targeted forms of treatment for our patients.
Oncology
We are getting older and older – but this also increases the risk of developing cancer. Thanks to intensive research and improved therapies, there is already a chance of surviving the disease in many cases.
In the field of oncology, Eisai is pursuing innovative therapeutic approaches for types of cancer for which there is a high unmet medical need.
Active substances developed by Eisai are already available in several indication areas (uterine cancer, breast cancer, liver cancer, kidney cancer, liposarcoma and thyroid cancer).
In the company’s research facilities in Japan and the USA, Eisai is working on the discovery and further development of new active ingredients and combinations of active ingredients.
