As part of its medium-term plan, Eisai has two key strategic areas in 2016 in which there is still a major therapeutic need: Neurological diseases and cancer (oncology).

In order to focus on these priorities, the company has brought together all relevant functions – from research & development to sales – in the Neurology and Oncology organizational units.

By concentrating its R&D resources, Eisai aims to discover new, highly effective treatment options and to play a pioneering role in the fields of both neurology and oncology. Active ingredient research, drug development and clinical research are carried out in the company’s own research facilities worldwide.
