If you would like to apply for a job with us, you can do so by linking the job advertisement to our job portal.

Your electronic application data will be received by the HR department and forwarded within the job portal only to the specialist department responsible for the position in question. All parties involved will treat your application documents with absolute confidentiality.

• Interview forms, saving the video interview until hiring if necessary
• Results from online analyses that were completed as part of the recruitment process
• Results of checks carried out as part of the recruitment process, e.g. driving license checks

• Information about your state of health and any disabilities that you have communicated to us

• Other data that you provide in connection with the application process

If you do not wish to provide any of the information we request, please inform the recruitment agency or your contact at Eisai. Alternatively, please contact Eisai’s Data Protection Officer and Data Protection Team using the contact information below.

1.1.3 How do we use your personal data?

The information we collect about you will only be used to review your application, to determine your suitability for the position in which you are interested and, if requested, to send you job alerts. The information will also be used to comply with applicable regulations, such as employment discrimination. The information may also be used to prepare an offer or contract.

1.1.4 How long do we store your data?

If you apply for a specific position, we will retain your data for a period of 6 months after completion of the recruitment process. After that, it will be automatically deleted from our job portal.

If you send us your application or a general inquiry about career opportunities via our website, please also refer to section 1.4. for information on how long we retain your information when you visit our website.

If you are offered employment, we will process your data in accordance with the data protection provisions applicable to employees and other Eisai personnel (which you can access by clicking on the link above, section 1.5).

1.2 I am a healthcare professional (“HCP”)

If you are a healthcare professional, the information in this section is relevant to you.

1.2.1 When do we process information about you?

We collect and process personal data about you when you

• interact with Eisai or our representatives, e.g. for contact maintenance or other inquiries by telephone, e-mail, fax and personal visit;
• Express interest in and/or participate in in-person, virtual or hybrid events organized or sponsored by Eisai. This includes in particular advisory board meetings, symposia and conferences. If Eisai uses QR codes in this context for Eisai’s own events that are used by you, Eisai is responsible for the data processing via these QR codes; otherwise (e.g. in the case of sponsored events), it is a third-party offer of the respective organizer within the meaning of Section 1.4.10 of this Privacy Policy;
• give your consent to receive promotional information from Eisai via electronic data communication methods. In this case, we will create a corresponding entry in our customer management system (see also section 1.2.3 A);
• consulting services for Eisai and a corresponding contract has been concluded;

We may also collect publicly available data from other sources such as official registries, hospital websites, healthcare provider directories, patient organizations and third parties that provide data/information services.

1.2.2 What information do we collect about you?

We only collect information that is relevant for the purposes stated under 1.2.1, such as possibly:

• Your name;
• Your contact details such as address, e-mail address, fax number or telephone number;
• Your curriculum vitae and professional information, such as academic title, medical specialization, lectures given, event attendance and the benefits and donations received from us, publications produced;
• Your financial relationship with Eisai as a potential sponsor of a clinical trial;
• Information about your past collaboration with Eisai;
• Information you provide to us (e.g. your experience of using Eisai products in your work or medical inquiries);
• Your preferences with regard to the communication channel;
• Data and brief summaries of your interactions (e.g. conversations) with Eisai employees, including in the areas of sales and medicine (e.g. on the subject of prescription behavior);
• Your electronic metadata (e.g. access right, IP address, device and hardware information, timestamp), insofar as they are required for participation in face-to-face, virtual or hybrid events organized or sponsored by Eisai. The provision of contact data and metadata is mandatory; without this data, a video conference cannot take place. Video images, voice and text input, including recordings of video images, sound and text input, are also processed for video conferences. The provision of recordings is generally not mandatory. You will be informed in advance of the fact that the video conference will be recorded and can deactivate the camera and/or microphone of your end device via the applications if you wish.
• Financial and banking information, but only where this is necessary for the payment of services you have provided to Eisai or for the reimbursement of agreed expenses incurred in providing services to Eisai;
• Information about your individual interactions with Eisai promotional emails (e.g., when you opened those emails), but only if you have consented to receive and track such promotional emails on an individual level to help Eisai improve communications with you. Otherwise, Eisai collects tracking information in aggregate form to improve communications with healthcare professionals generally (see also Section 1.2.3 A); and
• Details of the information, posts or comments published by you on publicly accessible platforms that are relevant either to Eisai products and/or therapeutic areas in which Eisai operates or to events organized by Eisai.

If you do not wish to provide any of the information we request, please inform your contact person at Eisai or contact Eisai’s Data Protection Officer or Data Protection Team using the contact information below.

1.2.3 How do we use your personal data?

The information we collect about you is processed exclusively for the following purposes:

• to provide information that you have requested or to otherwise respond to your request;
• to fulfill Eisai’s obligations under the Pharma Code and Pharma Cooperation Code, such as disclosing any payments or transfers of value made to you;
• to fulfill Eisai’s legal obligations, e.g. in connection with the reporting of side effects and/or quality problems with Eisai products, or in the context of official requests for information;
• for advice on the use of Eisai products;
• to fulfill a contract concluded with you, including the payment of agreed consultancy fees, the reimbursement of agreed expenses and the booking of travel and accommodation;
• to conduct a clinical study in which you are involved and to fulfill Eisai’s obligations in connection with clinical studies, e.g. if names of study leaders are required for submissions of study results;
• to fulfill legal obligations to which Eisai is subject, e.g. information and storage obligations;
• to evaluate our business strategy and to improve communication between Eisai and you;
• to identify opinion leaders in a therapeutic area in which Eisai is active;
• for the review of your IIS (Investigator Initiated Studies) application;
• to consider your potential involvement in Eisai’s future activities; and/or
• to invite you to and/or participate in face-to-face, virtual or hybrid events and/or projects organized or sponsored by Eisai that may be of interest to you and to obtain feedback afterwards. The video conference may be recorded in order to make it accessible to a wider audience; a corresponding notice will be given at the beginning of the video recording. If technically possible, we will suppress your data, i.e. not process it so that it is visible to all participants; however, for technical reasons, this cannot be guaranteed for every event.

1.2.3A Your rights regarding electronic advertising information and your right to object

Withdrawing or changing your consent
If you consent to being contacted for marketing purposes by means of electronic data communication (e.g. email), you have the right to withdraw your consent. If you wish to withdraw or amend any previous consent to contact you via a particular electronic medium with marketing information, please send an email to EMEA_Unsubscribe@eisai.net or datenschutz@eisai.net (the latter email address is located within the EU) and please indicate which electronic data communication methods you do not agree with.

If you have consented to the tracking of advertising emails at an individual level and wish to withdraw your consent or if you wish to stop the tracking of emails at an aggregated level, please also send an email to EMEA_Unsubscribe@eisai.net or datenschutz@eisai.net to request this. In this case, we will unfortunately no longer be able to send you electronic advertising information.

Right to object
If Eisai processes your personal data on the basis of legitimate interests (e.g. for certain non-promotional purposes), you also have the right to object. You also have the right to object to any direct marketing communications. 1.3.4 How long do we store your data?

If you have supplied goods and/or services to Eisai, we will retain your data for a period of 10 years after the end of the financial year in which payment for such goods and/or services was made.

For all other requests, your personal data will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage ceases to apply, unless storage/processing beyond this point in time has been provided for by legislation in laws or other regulations to which we are subject; in these cases, the data will be deleted when a storage period prescribed by the aforementioned standards expires, unless there is a need for further storage of the data for the conclusion or performance of a contract, in which case we will block the data.

1.4.5 Log files

Each time our website is accessed, usage data is transmitted by the respective Internet browser and stored in log files, the so-called server log files.

It gives healthcare professionals access to a wide range of websites that are not freely accessible to the public. These include, for example, product information from the pharmaceutical industry for prescription drugs, which only authorized healthcare professionals are allowed to view, or value-added services from third parties, which are only available to employees of certain organizations (e.g. hospital lists in compendium.ch). 1.4.8 Sharing content on social networks

You have the option of sharing the job advertisements on the Eisai website on the LinkedIn social network. The buttons or icons function as external links. • you contact us with a medical inquiry or to report a potential safety or quality issue related to an Eisai drug;
• your doctor applies to participate in an Eisai managed access program on your behalf;
• You follow Eisai on social media or interact with our posts on social media;
• you comment in a public forum on an Eisai product or therapeutic area in which Eisai has an interest;
• QR codes are used to advertise Eisai’s own materials that are used by you. • Details of your social media activity, such as likes, click-through rates, re-shares, impressions, etc., relating to Eisai social media posts, Eisai products or a therapeutic area in which Eisai has an interest,
• minimal information about comments made when you comment in a public forum about an Eisai product or therapeutic area in which Eisai is interested.

1.7.3 How do we use your personal data?

The information we collect from you will only be used to

• Managed Access programs;
• respond to your request for medical advice and refer you to your doctor;
• Respond to your request for medical information by providing information available in the patient information leaflet where relevant to your query;
• fulfill Eisai’s legal obligations with respect to the reporting of safety or quality issues related to Eisai pharmaceuticals;
• for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims.

1.7.4 How long do we store your data?

If you participate in a managed access program, your data will be retained for up to 25 years after the program ends. If you contact us to request medical information, a copy of your request and Eisai’s response will be retained for 5 years from the date of your request. If you contact us about a medical or safety issue relating to an Eisai medicine, or your request for medical information includes a safety issue, we will retain your data for 10 years after the marketing authorization for the medicine has expired in accordance with applicable laws.

• complain to the competent supervisory authority about unauthorized data processing.

We will consider your requests in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Please note that Eisai may not be able to comply with your request in full or in part for legal or other important reasons.

If you have requested erasure, we will either erase or anonymize your personal data depending on the legal possibility. In cases where it is not legally possible for us to erase or anonymize your data at this time, we will continue to store your data securely after the purpose has expired until the time at which erasure or anonymization is possible.

If you withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data, we would like to point out that this has no influence on the lawfulness of the processing before the time of withdrawal.

2.2 Requirement or obligation to provide data

Unless expressly stated at the time of collection, the provision of data is not required or mandatory. However, such an obligation may arise from legal requirements or contractual regulations.

2.3 To whom do we disclose your personal data?

When processing your data, we work together with the following service providers who may have access to your data:

• other companies in the Eisai Group (see also below);
• External suppliers or potential suppliers who provide services or systems that Eisai uses to securely process your data; when conducting video conferences, data is processed via third-party servers, among other things. • External service providers that process data on behalf of Eisai, including providers of web analytics tools and web hosting providers;
• Authorities that are legally authorized to request disclosure of the personal information we hold;
• Industry associations scienceindustries, vips and Interpharma for publications within the framework of the Pharma Cooperation Code (PCC) or in connection with compliance with the provisions of the Pharma Code;
• Consulting company;
• Pharmaceutical companies with which Eisai has a co-promotion / co-marketing relationship;
• purchasers or potential purchasers of parts of the business or shares that we are selling (or intend to sell); and/or
• Third parties, if required by law (e.g. tax and customs authorities).

2.4 Disclosure of your data to recipients outside Switzerland

As part of a global group of companies, we involve other Eisai companies that support us in data processing. These group companies may also process data outside Switzerland, e.g. in the EU, UK, Japan or the USA. These group companies process the personal data only for the stated purposes.

We also use external suppliers to provide various business tools, including the tools we use for recruitment, human resources, procurement, finance and clinical trial organization; we share your personal data with such external suppliers as data processors. Some of these suppliers may be based outside the EEA.

Some of these countries may not have a data protection authority and/or data protection laws and/or do not grant data subject rights, so you may not be able to enforce your rights in the same way as within Switzerland or the EU and the recipients may not be legally obliged to protect your data in the same way as Swiss or EU standards. Eisai will take all necessary steps to ensure that your personal data is protected in this case.

We have put in place procedures to ensure that all third parties with whom we work in connection with the processing of your personal data, including other Eisai companies or subsidiaries, apply the same data protection standards as those applicable in the EU. This includes exercising due diligence when working with such external companies (e.g. checking the security measures they apply to protect the data) and entering into contracts that contain appropriate data protection provisions, such as those contained in the EU standard contractual clauses recommended by the European Commission as providing adequate protection for the personal data of EU citizens, which also apply to Switzerland.

Eisai may transfer personal data to competent authorities in third countries if necessary to obtain product approvals and for the purpose of safety reporting, provided that the transfer is necessary for important reasons of public interest, as these interests are recognized by law.
