Our company philosophy
In order to better understand patients and their relatives, we first need to get to know their way of life. Taking their perspective enables us to consider the medical needs of our patients and practicing doctors and nurses. Our concerns are empathy and dealing with patients as people with hopes and fears – not as mere cases of illness to be treated with medication.
Living the philosophy
At Eisai, we take our company philosophy very seriously. All employees are encouraged to spend 1% of their working time on hhc activities to better understand the reality of patients. This corresponds to around two working days a year. hhc is also part of the employee objectives and personal development plans of all employees.
